First heard by label founder, Chris Lujan, on the now highly sought after Luv N aight compilations, Lujan tracked down a pristine copy of the original Soul Machine 45. Soon after, The Incredible Say Whats! got working on their A/B side tribute. Recorded live to 2-inch analog tape and mixed in one day at San Francisco’s Decibelle Studios. One Room, vintage ribbon mics and tube amps. Real musicians making funky rhythm & blues the same way their heroes did.
