Madrid beatsmith + Cleveland rapper = turntables on fire! Madrid-based hip-hop, jazz, funk, DJ and producer AL-X ROCKS teams up with up there Cleveland rapper Replife, who makes his second appearance on a Lovemonk slab o' wax after his collaboration with the mighty Boohgaloo Zoo. The defiant head-bopper that is “Get´em Up” comes in two versions: the original is a straightforward hip-hop beat supporting a sturdy guitar riff, while the flipside may be its laid-back counterpart.

Artist info:
AL-X ROCKS got involved with hip-hop culture in 1988, first as a graffiti writer and then as a turntablist and producer. Over the years, our man from Aluche, Madrid has built quite a reputation for himself working with the likes of Soylent Green, Sace2, Hd Substance, sharing the stage with EPMD, Breakestra, C2c, Redman, Killa Kella, Keith Murray, Talib Kweli and many more, and making tracks for American online platform www.turntableradio.com.

Replife is one of the freshest rappers out there. Gilles Peterson said so, so believe. Besides aforementioned Boohgaloo Zoo collab, he has worked with people like Dego, Kaidi Tatham, Capitol A and Kissey Asplund. He is currently working on a new album on the mighty Tokyo Dawn Recordings.
