Australian producer and DJ Billy Hoyle offers up an 8 track reinterpretation of the 1966 Brazilian classic "Os Afros Sambas" by Baden Powell & Vinicius De Moraes.
The album is deeply rooted in Afro Brazilian folklore and the religion of Candomblé, with dawn-of-man rhythms and eerie vocals. Hoyle chops up the entire album, layers drums and keyboards, and records some live instrumentation on top from some of his talented friends. A proper tribute to a beautiful album.
