Der umtriebige Produzent und Rapper Oddisee aus Washington, DC hat schon mit Künstlern wie DJ Jazzy Jeff, J-Live, Foreign Exchange, Georgia Anne Muldrow und anderen zusammengearbeitet. Im Herbst 2009 startete er eine Serie von EPs, die quartalsweise im Internet veröffentlicht wurde. Jede Ausgabe fängt die Atmosphäre der jeweiligen Jahreszeit musikalisch ein. Die EPs wurden nun neu gemastert, zu einem Album zusammengefasst und erscheinen erstmalig auf physischen Tonträgern.
